Nickelodeon hires OnTrack for ADR work for new release "Fred" The Movie

"Fred" (a.k.a. "Fred Figglehorn"), one of the most popular internet characters of all time, will land on Nickelodeon in his first-ever feature film, Fred: The Movie, it was announced today at Nickelodeon's Los Angeles upfront presentation by Cyma Zarghami, President, Nickelodeon/MTV Networks' Kids & Family Group. Similar to real-life teenager Lucas Cruikshank's fast-talking, hyperactive YouTube videos that have received upwards of 500 million views, the film will center on Fred's latest adventure in trying to win over his unrequited love, Judy.

The movies star character, Lucas Cruikshank lives in Columbus, Nebraska. Rather than flying Cruikshank to and from Los Angeles, the production company for Nickelodeon chose OnTrack to record the young actor to replace several dialog and effect cues.

Fred: The Movie is produced by Brian Robbins and Sharla Sumpter Bridgett of Varsity Pictures and Gary Binkow and Evan Weiss of The Collective. Fred: The Movie is set to premiere later this year.

OnTrack - 04/19/10
We have the Salem Baptist Church Choir coming in tonight and tomorrow night to do overdubs and lead tracks for upcoming release. The tracks were recorded live this past Easter Sunday.

We're excited to be working with their new Minister of Music, Markie Montague. He has worked with many National artists and ensembles, Richard Smallwood, Ricky Dillard, Kim McFarland, Lyle Lovett and many others. He has also toured Europe spreading the Gospel through song. I'm looking forward to collaborating with him!

Omaha, NE, April, 13th, 2010

At 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, producers in LA for the series The Vampire Diaries called and asked if they could do some ADR, record one of their actors that was in Omaha, but they needed to do it that night at 8:30 pm... We locked up video in Omaha and in LA, the actor replaced several dialog cues and effects as he watched the video. Needless to say, it was a success and Episode 18 aired this Thursday due to in part to the efforts of OnTrack.

CW's “The Vampire Diaries” airs Thursdays at 7 p.m. CST.
